Brain oscillations have been associated with various cognitive functions, including perception and attention.

 

In the French-German ANR-DFG funded RATES project, in collaboration with Prof. Niko Busch, and in the EU-funded WAVES project, we investigate the role of the phase, the amplitude and the frequency of brain oscillations in perception and attention.

 

Using TMS, EEG, MEG and psychophysics, our research provides causal evidence in favor of a functional role of brain oscillations in our conscious perceptual experience.
